MESHA hosts a range of research students, from undergraduate placement and internship students through to postgraduate doctorial students, offering supervision and training courses.
The Placement and Internship Program is a research-focused placement designed to introduce final year students to the world of academic research, focusing on military members and emergency service personnel. Select students may continue working with MESHA on their projects at the conclusion of their placement, or pursue an honours, masters, or PhD project supported by the institute.
We’d like to acknowledge and thank the research students who worked with us through 2020. It was a year of uncertainty and all students were adaptable and professional, managing to continue their work to serve our military members and emergency service personnel.
Congratulations to our interns, placement students and honours students of 2020:
“Doing volunteer research on site with MESHA has been a very valuable experience. It has helped me to develop my skills in a supportive and welcoming environment… I would highly recommend internship/volunteering/placement at MESHA to anyone in the health space interested in research. Working alongside the very supportive staff and fellow students has been paramount to my development as a new researcher.”
We are now working closely with all three major South Australian universities to accept students for internship, placement, and supervision opportunities, and currently have places available for students through 2021!
