Research into the health of veterans is John Straka’s principle motivation for becoming a long-term supporter of MESHA through regular donations.
A Vietnam Veteran himself, John served for six years in the Australian Defence Force and understands the challenges faced by veterans, both past and present.
“I believe there needs to be more research into veteran mental health. There are too many service men and women who are fragile due to their mental struggles they face from their service experience,” John said.
John believes supporting research is important, which is why he not only gives to MESHA, but he has also made a generous commitment to leave a gift in his Will to The Hospital Research Foundation.
MESHA is part of The Hospital Research Foundation Group, supporting world-leading medical research and patient care for over 50 areas of disease.
There are many ways you can join John and support MESHA as part of The Hospital Research Foundation Group. If you would like more information, call (08) 7002 0880.
