This ANZAC Day join us as we come together by staying apart and Light Up the Dawn.
You can join your family, neighbours and all Australians nationwide in your driveways, on your balcony or in your living room at 6am on Saturday 25 April for one minute silence to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of our armed forces both past and present.
MESHA is proud to support this important commemoration initiative by RSL national and other industry associations around Australia.
“In these difficult times, it’s more important than ever we come together and acknowledge those who fought and continue to fight for us each and every day,” said THRF and MESHA CEO Paul Flynn.
“Without the ability to attend the regular Dawn Service this year, we believe this is a very special initiative for Australians all over the country.
“I’ll be at the end of my driveway with my family on ANZAC Day morning and we hope many of our supporters will also get behind this sentimental event.”
There are other ways you and your family can get involved and commemorate our ANZAC’s, including:
Hold a light in your driveway in memory of those who have served and sacrificed
Tie a purple ribbon around a tree
Make a wrath for your front door
Bake ANZAC biscuits
Recite the ode
Place a poppy on your letterbox
Respect a minute’s silence
MESHA is committed to our service men and women and despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we will do all we can to remember our nation’s heroes.
Lest we Forget.
