On Wednesday 11 November 2020, MESHA held its annual Remembrance Day Breakfast.
It was a wonderful morning to come together and acknowledge the service and sacrifice of our Nation’s military members, both past and present.
We were pleased to welcome His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le, Governor of South Australia and the Honourable Steven Marshall MP, Premier of South Australia.
Guests heard from the inspirational Curtis McGrath OAM, former Australian Army combat engineer and Paralympic gold medallist, who delivered the keynote address. Curtis shared his incredible story of survival and strength, and how he overcame a life-changing injury to become a Paralympic champion.
MESHA Patron Graham Cornes OAM, MFS Firefighter Genevieve Rueger, and veteran advocate Jock Statton AM also shared their inspiring stories in our panel presentation about Transition Through Adversity.
We were also proud to launch our revitalised brand Military and Emergency Services Health
Australia, with a strengthened focus on optimising the mental health and wellbeing of Australia’s current and former military members, emergency service personnel and their families.
We are forever grateful for the extraordinary sacrifices made by our armed forces, and we thank them for their service and for our freedom.
Thank you to our generous sponsors.
