On Friday 11 November 2022, Military & Emergency Services Health Australia held its 15th Annual Remembrance Day Breakfast.
It was a wonderful opportunity to come together to acknowledge the service and sacrifice of our Nation’s veterans and service personnel, both past and present. As we continue to navigate our new and sometimes difficult circumstances, we were pleased to welcome approximately 500 guests to this sold-out event to celebrate the continued strength and bravery of our heroes.
We were pleased to welcome His Excellency the Honourable Justice Mark Livesey, Governor’s Deputy and the Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia.
We were grateful to have had the opportunity to share an update on our world-class research and programs to support veterans, current ADF members, first responders and their families.
The unwavering commitment of our military and emergency services personnel is invaluable to all communities in Australia. We are forever grateful for the extraordinary sacrifices made by our armed forces, and we are proud to support research and programs to improve their health and wellbeing, both during and after their service.
Guests heard from our keynote speaker, Gary Ramage, a veteran and esteemed war photojournalist. Gary has travelled the world for over 30 years with the ADF covering conflict and capturing the raw, graphic, and emotional experiences had by the soldiers.  He spoke of his commitment to sharing their stories through photographs for those who have not seen it firsthand.  Gary shared some of his captivating photographs with the audience and shared the deeply moving stories behind them.
The theme of the breakfast was Through the Lens, and we were honoured to share the powerful memories of some remarkable individuals and their experiences directly or indirectly on the front line.
We are forever grateful for the extraordinary sacrifices made by our armed forces, and we thank them for their service and for our freedom.
Thank you to our generous sponsors.
